In this article, I will be explaining the various jargon that is used in day to day shipping work. ETA<\/strong> = Estimated Time of Arrival (\u9884\u8ba1\u5230\u6e2f\u65f6\u95f4) \u2013 commonly used to denote the date and time at which a ship is expected to arrive at a port. Usually seen in shipping schedules circulated by shipping lines or information provided to the port. \u8fd9\u4e2a\u65f6\u95f4\u4e00\u822c\u51fa\u73b0\u5728\u9884\u5b9a\u8239\u8231\u65f6\uff0c\u6839\u636e\u9884\u8ba1\u5f00\u8239\u65f6\u95f4\u548c\u822a\u884c\u65f6\u95f4\u9884\u4f30\u7684\u5230\u5cb8\u65f6\u95f4\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ETB<\/strong> = Estimated Time of Berthing (\u9884\u8ba1\u505c\u6cca\u65f6\u95f4) \u2013 commonly used to denote the date and time at which a ship is expected to berth at a port\/terminal. This term is usually seen in pre-arrival notifications sent to the ships. \u8fd9\u4e2a\u65f6\u95f4\u4e0eETA\u76f8\u4f3c\uff0c\u53ea\u4e0d\u8fc7\u8fd9\u4e2a\u65f6\u95f4\u662f\u5728\u8239\u5feb\u9760\u5cb8\u524d\u53d1\u51fa\uff0c\u6bd4ETA\u66f4\u51c6\u786e\u4e00\u70b9\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ETC<\/strong> = Estimated Time of Completion (\u9884\u8ba1\u7ed3\u675f\u65f6\u95f4) \u2013 commonly used to denote the date and time at which a ship is expected to complete its cargo operations. This term is usually seen in arrival reports sent to ship owners. \u8fd9\u4e2a\u65f6\u95f4\u6307\u8d27\u8239\u7ed3\u675f\u672c\u6b21\u822a\u884c\u4efb\u52a1\uff0c\u4e00\u822c\u7528\u6765\u901a\u77e5\u8d27\u8239\u516c\u53f8\u6216\u4e3b\u4eba\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ETD<\/strong> = Estimated Time of Departure (\u9884\u8ba1\u5f00\u8239\u65f6\u95f4) \u2013 commonly used to denote the date and time at which a ship is expected to depart from a certain port\/terminal. This term is usually seen in arrival reports sent to ship owners and also in shipping schedules circulated by shipping lines or information provided to the port. \u8fd9\u4e2a\u65f6\u95f4\u4e00\u822c\u51fa\u73b0\u5728\u9884\u5b9a\u8239\u8231\u65f6\uff0c\u9884\u8ba1\u7684\u5f00\u8239\u65f6\u95f4\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ETS<\/strong> = Estimated Time of Sailing (\u9884\u8ba1\u5f00\u8239\u65f6\u95f4) \u2013 similar to ETD \u8ddfETD\u610f\u601d\u76f8\u540c\u6216\u76f8\u8fd1\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FCL<\/strong> \u2013 Full Container Load (\u6574\u7bb1\u8d27) \u2013 means that the container has cargo that is shipped by one shipper for delivery to one consignee. \u8ba2\u8d2d\u7684\u8d27\u7269\u4ee5\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u4e3a\u5355\u4f4d\uff0c\u6574\u7bb1\u8d27\u7269\u5c5e\u4e8e\u540c\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e70\u5bb6\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LCL<\/strong> \u2013 Less than Container Load \uff08\u62fc\u7bb1\u8d27\uff09 \u2013 this is when the same container is used for cargoes belonging to multiple shippers and consignees. The clients deliver their cargo to the lines packing station (CFS \u2013 Container Freight Station) and the line then packs the delivered cargo on behalf of the client. \u540c\u4e00\u4e2a\u96c6\u88c5\u7bb1\u91cc\u7684\u8d27\u7269\u5c5e\u4e8e\u4e0d\u540c\u7684\u4e70\u5bb6\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Port and Starboard<\/strong> (\u8239\u7684\u5de6\u4fa7\u548c\u53f3\u4fa7) \u2013 There are several ideas and versions of the origin of these words, but in simple shipping terms, it means the LEFT SIDE and RIGHT SIDE of the ship respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MSDS<\/strong> \uff08\u8d27\u7269\u6750\u6599\u6709\u5bb3\u7269\u8d28\u6e05\u5355\uff09\u2013 The abbreviation stands for Material Safety Data Sheet. An MSDS is a form containing all possible information relating to the hazardous cargo in question. It provides guidance in handling the commodity and the properties and composition of the item in question. \u8fd9\u4e2a\u6e05\u5355\u5305\u542b\u4e86\u6240\u6709\u6709\u5bb3\u7269\u8d28\u7684\u5c3d\u53ef\u80fd\u8be6\u5c3d\u7684\u4fe1\u606f\uff0c\u4fbf\u4e8e\u8fd0\u8f93\u516c\u53f8\u4f7f\u7528\u6b63\u786e\u7684\u65b9\u6cd5\u6765\u5904\u7406\u8fd9\u4e9b\u8d27\u7269\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MBL<\/strong> \uff08\u8239\u4e1c\u5355\uff09 \u2013 The abbreviation stands for Master Bill of Lading used extensively in freight forwarding circles. MBL\u662f\u8239\u516c\u53f8\u7b7e\u53d1\u7684\u63d0\u5355, \u4ee5\u8239\u516c\u53f8\u4e3a\u62ac\u5934\u7684\uff0cMBL\u53ef\u4ee5\u76f4\u63a5\u5411\u8239\u516c\u53f8\u63d0\u8d27\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HBL<\/strong> \uff08\u8d27\u4ee3\u5355\uff09 \u2013 The abbreviation stands for House Bill of Lading used extensively in freight forwarding circles. HBL\u662f\u8d27\u4ee3\u57fa\u4e8eMBL\u51fa\u7684\u63d0\u5355\uff0c\u7531\u8d27\u4ee3\u516c\u53f8\u7b7e\u53d1, \u4ee5\u8d27\u4ee3\u540d\u79f0\u4e3a\u62ac\u5934\u3002HBL\u65f6\u5fc5\u987b\u5148\u5728\u76ee\u7684\u6e2f\u5411\u8d27\u4ee3\u7684\u4ee3\u7406\u6362\u53d6MBL\uff0c\u7136\u540e\u518d\u51ed\u7740MBL\u53bb\u63d0\u8d27\uff0c\u4fd7\u79f0\u6362\u5355\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SLAC<\/strong> \uff08\u6258\u8fd0\u4eba\u88c5\u8f7d\u8ba1\u6570\uff09\u2013 The abbreviation stands for \u201cShippers Load Stow and Count\u201d and is used extensively and mainly in containerized shipping.\u201d \u63d0\u5355\u4e0a\u7684\u6570\u91cf\u662f\u6839\u636e\u6258\u8fd0\u4eba\u63d0\u4f9b\u7684\u6570\u636e\u586b\u5199\u7684\uff0c\u627f\u8fd0\u4eba\u5e76\u672a\u6838\u5b9e\u3002\u627f\u8fd0\u4eba\u6279\u6ce8\u6b64\u5185\u5bb9\u7684\u76ee\u7684\u662f\u529b\u56fe\u5bf9\u8d27\u7269\u6570\u91cf\u53d1\u751f\u7684\u77ed\u5c11\u514d\u8d23\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n
